A Busy May for the Patchworkers

May finds the Patchworkers as busy as ever.
Some members went to the Somers Quilt Show others took a mystery workshop at Woodstock Quilt Supply.
Karen R. has designed a doll to be given to underprivileged children. They are called the Happy Comfort Dolls and they are just adorable. Her enthusiasm is catchy and it has the Patchworkers making dolls at meetings and at home. She has sent dolls to an orphanage in China and is now looking to send dolls to Africa. Karen will have a Blog up soon telling about her dolls and how you may help. The Blog link will be posted here so please come back.
Rose O. gave a workshop to six members on making a 3-D style sunflower. Only one picture is available now but more will follow. Rose watched this being made on Simply Quilts, found the pattern on line at Simply Quilts and the results are fantastic.
The quilts that are being shown at weekly meetings are beautiful, which means this years show in August is going to be wonderful. But heck......all our shows are great!
We would like to welcome a new member to the Patchworkers. Gail P. from Windham. She loves doing tradition quilts and her show and tells have us in awe of her work.

Happy Quilting!
