Patchworkers Quilt Retreat 2007

The Patchworkers held a quilting retreat the weekend of October 12 and it was a huge success.Fifty one quilters spent the weekend just sewing away and having a wonderful time getting to know the other quilters there. It was held in Windham , NY at the Christmans Windham House. Windham Fabrics graciously supplied the fabrics for the Mystery Project and the aprons that the Patchworkers wore.
It was a wonderfully wild Windham weekend!!

Nap Mats for Pine Ridge

Patchworkers Angee Opdyke and Ann Casey took on a project in late August to help out a school on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

Between them they made 14 nap mats for a kindergarten class. As Ann and Angee report, we made 14 little quilts in less them 5 days.....those little quilts measured about 38" x 50" when done. Each were machine quilted.

Ready to be mailed out

From Angee: We were under a deadline and it was hectic, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
